The lodge has managed to retain all the charm
of its former incarnation as a crofter's lodge,
transforming itself in to a luxurious 21st century
haven. The living room is furnished with a beautiful
open fire, whilst the cosy, informal dining
room is a wonderful space to disseminate the
day's activities. Housekeeping services are
provided.
Sleeping up to eight in comfort, Duchally
Lodge has two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms,
all with en-suite bathrooms, featuring antique
and period furnishings replete with luxurious
fabrics and wallpapers. All bedrooms benefit
from Egyptian cotton linen and the finest duvets,
pillows and cashmere blankets, whilst bathrooms
benefit from super-luxe heavyweight towels and
the finest toiletries. Broadband and satellite
are also available in the property.
The River Cassley - well known for its salmon
fishing - runs directly past the Lodge, whilst
a trout pool immediately outside allows beginners
to try their hands. Guests of Duchally Lodge
can even hand-feed visiting deer in the winter
when they descend from the higher ground. Other
neighbours include nesting Ospreys, Harrier
Hawks and even Golden Eagles, making this property
a must-stay for anyone who wants to experience
the beauty of Scotland’s finest indigenous
species in their natural habitat.
Dogs are welcome at the lodge with pet beds
catered for by prior arrangement.
